Take comfort in knowing that we treat your pet like would our own. Our veterinary team is trained in pain prevention and pain control. Your pet’s comfort is a priority for us. Your pet will receive pain medication and anti-inflammatory medication prior to the painful procedure to help prevent stimulation of the pain receptors and reduce your pet’s discomfort. Often additional pain control in the form of local anesthesia may be used at the surgical site. After the procedure, your pet will be closely monitored for any discomfort and additional pain medications will be given as needed during their recovery. Pain medications will also be sent home with your pet following any painful procedure. If your pet has a chronic, painful condition we will develop an individualized pain control protocol to control their pain.
