Flea Control

A flea problem on your pet means a flea problem in your home. Understanding the flea life cycle and methods for its control can be a daunting task. We will gladly assist you in this process.

Luckily, today we have products that make flea treatment much simpler and safer than it was in the past.

There are products that can be safely applied to even young puppies and kittens.

Once a flea problem has developed it takes a minimum of 4 months of dedicated treatment of ALL mammals in the house to eliminate the problem. Premise sprays are also available so you can treat your vehicles and other infested areas.

Not all pets get itchy when they have fleas, so you must be diligent about checking your pets for fleas on a regular basis. Pets that are allergic to fleas will scratch themselves raw, especially along their back and just above their tail heads. Untreated these pets will damage their skin by scratching and introduce bacteria into the wounds causing a skin infection that will require flea medication, anti-itch medication and antibiotics.  Some people are allergic to fleabites and will become extremely itchy; some will even require medications to control the itch. This will continue until all the fleas in the house, vehicles and animals are eliminated. Prevention is always much easier and less expensive than dealing with a flea infestation. Fleas also carry tapeworms which they can pass onto your pets requiring a de-wormer that kills tapeworms (not all de-wormers kill tapeworms or they only kill one type of tapeworm.)

We can provide you with safe, effective flea prevention and flea treatment.
